My work as a self-taught artist originated by combining embroidery with woodwork, utilizing a drill press to create the pattern I wished to make. My practice expanded as I began working with a scroll saw, dremel, and paint, creating layers with the wood and experimenting with color and texture. Mirrors have been a more recent addition, allowing me to insert viewers, as well as myself, directly into the work. I envision these pieces as portals—gateways to explore memory and fantasy, ultimately fostering a deeper connection to the shared human experience.
